Metta Round The World Full Moon and New Moon metta sessions in Klang Valley, Malaysia and in Singapore are going the rounds with Buddhist temple and centres playing hosts for the metta meditation practice.

Th first Klang Valley host for the MRTW Full Moon session on Aug 2 was Setia Alam Sambodhi Buddhist Association at Setia Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It began with a Full Moon puja followed by a half-hour metta meditation and refreshments after that.

Elsewhere, respective Buddhist centres held their own MRTW Full Moon puja and metta meditation sessions. One such centre is the Buddhist Gem Fellowship, which will be the host for Klang Valley MRTW New Moon Metta Session this coming Friday, Aug 17 at 8.30 pm. The response by Buddhist organisations and centres to host the coming MRTW Full Moon and New Moon metta sessions have been very encouraging. The following are the latest confirmed schedule:

Aug 31 Full Moon — Samadhi Vihara in Shah Alam

Sept 16 New Moon — Aloka House @ Dana 1, Petaling Jaya

Sept 30 Full Moon — Selangor Buddhist Vipassana Meditation Society, Petaling Jaya [Aloka Buddhist Center in Malacca]

Oct 15 New Moon — Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden, Puchong

Oct 29 Full Moon — Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society, Puchong

Nov 28 Full Moon — Nalanda Buddhist Society, Seri Kembangan

As for Singapore, this coming New Moon session will be at Om Centre at 7.30 pm
